I too lost my mother in early sobriety and definitely relate to this. Keep this going Kristen. 🙏🏻😊👍

It’s a miracle that I was solid in my sobriety when she passed, I can’t imagine drinking through that grief. I’m sorry about your mom, it never really gets easier huh?

No I don’t think so, each loss is different, but I know beyond a doubt that drinking alcohol only makes it worse.

Love this so much and really needed the reminder. It’s so hard to remember that every goal and every challenge is a journey and then so easy to get frustrated when we aren’t “there” (whatever that means) yet— but you’re so right!

Thank you Jesse! I really appreciate you reading and glad it resonates with you. It’s the daily battle for me. Beginning to realize the only way to get “there” is to be “here.” ❤️

Your sobriety birthday is the day after my actual birthday, and I love that. I also lost my dad in Dec of 2021 and he struggled with alcoholism...he'd started drinking again and I will never not believe that that was a huge contributing factor to his death, the official cause of hyperthyroidism be damned. Life really is about the journey, whatever your journey is at the time. One day at a time, one moment at a time.
